Bishop Burns would like to inform you that he has reinstated Fr. Edmund Penisten into full time priestly ministry for the Diocese of Juneau. He will be assigned to the Northern Missions with continued residency at the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
 
It will be his duty to oversee the sacramental, pastoral, catechetical and spiritual needs for the parishioners in Kake, Angoon, Gustavus, Pelican and Excursion Inlet as well as Sacred Heart Mission, Hoonah, St. Francis Chapel, Tenakee Springs and St. Ann Parish, Yakutat.
 
While residing at the Cathedral he will assist with the sacramental life of the parish as well as Eucharistic celebrations at various Juneau institutions, in particular, Wildflower Court, the Pioneer Home and the Lemon Creek correctional facility
